I’d steer strict stomach sleepers to a mattress with a more firm feel. I also think back sleepers who like to sink into their mattress could do well on the Vaya. I would also recommend the Hybrid to combination sleepers, who tend to move around a bit at night, since this mattress is bouncier than a traditional memory foam mattress. It’s also a great option for budget-savvy side sleepers. They’re likely to experience pressure relief at their hips and shoulders. I’d recommend this mattress as a nice option for side sleepers, who will appreciate the sinkage they’ll get on the Vaya mattress. Its pocketed coils give some support, though I’d say it has less support than a typical medium firm mattress. The Vaya Hybrid’s layer of Vaya foam gives it a good amount of pressure relief and sinkage. This is just below the industry standard for medium firm of 6.5, so I’d call this a medium soft mattress. The Vaya Hybrid is a medium soft mattressĪfter spending time lying on the Vaya Hybrid, I’d give it a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the most firm. For reference, I’m 5’10”, weigh 190 lbs, and prefer to sleep on my stomach. Keep in mind that your ideal firmness level will depend on your body type and preferred sleeping position. Firmness is one of the most important factors that determines how a mattress will feel. Now that we know who I do and don’t recommend the Vaya mattress for, let’s talk about what it really feels like. Innerspring mattresses are great options for heavier sleepers. It doesn’t have the support that heavy sleepers need.It didn’t perform very well on our motion transfer test, meaning that couples or those who sleep with pets should go with another option.Who I don’t recommend the Vaya Hybrid for
